Paneer Butter Masala - Versatile Rich Indian Tomato Gravy with Cottage Cheese

Paneer Butter Masala is one dish that I and my brother have obsessed over all our childhoods. Every-time we stepped out for dinner, lunch or even breakfast at times, this is what we ordered along with a standard side of Naans. I can safely say that this is THE dish which is enjoyed along all ages, heck my son of 1.5 years loves it too! The rich, buttery, delicately balanced tomato gravy- with just the right amount of sugar and sour – Sigh! The butter Masala Gravy also known as the Makhani Gravy , at it’s best, should be a medium spicy, slightly sweet, smooth gravy which can go with anything from Peas to Tandoori Chicken to Eggs. It’s worthwhile just to have this …

The tomato sauce used for this recipe is from this post. This sauce can be used for pizza, pastas and any bakes. I usually bake a big batch and store it in airtight jars in my fridge for quick yummy meals.I made a very …

Roasted Veggies in Italian Herbs

Baked Veggies with italian herbs

I want to start out by thanking Readerspride.com for featuring me on their site. It’s very inspiring when people reach out to you and feature you on their sites! It’s the reverse feedback loop from the food universe patting your back and telling you to keep going.:D After my brunch party on Sunday I had loads of veggies left, which I wanted to use. I contemplating making Pav Bhaji the quintessential Bombay street food but decided to order that instead (Love Swiggy!) and make this nice and healthy veggie bake for myself. All your half zucchinis and handful of mushrooms and tomatoes , that you keep wrapped up waiting for inspiration to strike and ultimately throw them at the end of …

Ratatouille

Ratatouille

The first time I heard about Ratatouille was through my brother.I don’t know where he tasted it but he was so awed by it that he came back home and tried his hand at making it.It was funny when he discovered that the dish contained brinjal cause he used to always fight with my mom whenever she made the traditional Baigan Bharta at home(Aubergine). The second time I heard about it was in the movie Ratatouille in 2007.The movie is about a mouse who wants to be a chef  ,whose signature dish is a Ratatouille. What better dish for a Rat to make than a “Rat”atouille. It tickled me something funny when I first saw the promo of the movie! Let …
